Notes from the Editor

The past 90 days have been an extremely busy time at Dealer Concepts, LLC. Most of this newsletter is dedicated to What's New! We are extremely excited about our newest family members starting off with Joyce Henderson who now heads up our National Training. We also want to welcome the folks at Pennzoil, Shell, and Quaker State to our family. We are looking forward to working with them as our newest business partners and rolling out the Punch-A-Deal® customer retention program this year. Finally, after seven years of being Retention leaders with the Punch-A-Deal® program, we are really excited to be offering a full-blown points program.

Training Talk with Joyce

Welcome Joyce!

Joyce Henderson our Customer Obedience Manager, has spent the last 22 years in the Fixed Operations end of the business (from Lexus to Chrysler to GM stores). Joyce has decided to follow her true passion of helping fix dealerships instead of fixing cars. As car sales become more of a commodity and the least profitable part of the dealership, 2008 is going to be the year to really get focused on the most profitable department in the industry, SERVICE OPERATION. Joyce will be leading our Training team to show our stores how to do everything from setting up a marketing budget to using operations codes and reporting to track the results of these efforts. The days of shotgun advertising and spending 95% of the budget on acquiring customers is over. In 2008, successful stores will be allocating a greater percentage of their budgets on retaining their existing customers. You cannot expect to get a bigger budget if you are not tracking your results and proving out their success. Be sure to call Joyce and ask her for some FREE advice. INSPECT WHAT YOU EXPECT!

Set up a Labor Operation to see just how many of your Punch-A-Deal® Key Tags are being redeemed. This task can be as simple as cloning your existing Labor Operation for an oil change and then changing the acronym. Or use a spreadsheet if you don't have the capability of changing a Labor Op.
